Hunters helping the hungry in Connecticut through Hunt To Feed!

Despite news reports to the contrary...You can, in fact, donate the deer that you harvest in Connecticut to local food banks!

The deer management consultants at Whitetail Solutions have started a program called Hunt to Feed. This innovative program allows Connecticut hunters to donate their deer to local food banks at no cost to the hunter. The program is paid for exclusively through the fund raising efforts of Whitetail Solutions. This is no easy task, as they are expecting upward of 2500 pounds of venison to be donated this year. That equates to over $5000 in processing costs.

The staff of Whitetail Solutions will be at Cabela's in East Hartford Connecticut on August 23rd and 24th to raise both money and awareness for the Hunt to Feed program.

They also will be hosting the first annual Hunt to Feed banquet in early September and are actively seeking sponsors and donations of items for both the silent and live auctions. Please do your part to help provide nutritious meals for less fortunate families in Connecticut.

Visit their web site at www.hunttofeed.com and help to put an end to hunger in Connecticut!
