I have to admit that I was a little skeptical when I began this review, but after using the Celestron Nature DX 10x42 binoculars and putting them through the rigors of daily hunting, I am impressed!
They have many of the features that you usually find in a more expensive pair of binoculars, but at an affordable price.
Don't get me wrong, these are cheap binoculars and they will never stand up to the high end binoculars that I have tested, but stick with me here, if you are looking for cheap binoculars.

Build Quality
I was not very impressed with the quality of the Celestron Nature DX.
The Nature DX body is constructed from polycarbonate, which is lightweight, but not very durable. Many of the top hunting binoculars available today use aluminum or magnesium. These materials are stronger and more durable, but it also makes the binoculars heavier.
The Celestron Nature DX also uses BAK-4 prisms which are superior to the BAK-7 prisms used in some of the binoculars in this price point.
The Celestron Nature DX is 100% Waterproof and fogproof thanks to being o-ring sealed and nitrogen purged. Another feature usually found in more expensive binoculars.
The Nature DX also utilizes fully multi coated optics for incredible clarity. Most binoculars at this price point only use multi coated optics.

Design and Functionality
The first thing that I noticed with the Celestron Nature DX is how lightweight they are and how good they feel in your hands.
This is thanks to the dark green, soft rubber armored coating which is textured to insure a good grip.
There are also indentations in the housing where your forefingers go on the body, making it easy to establish a perfect grip every time.
The large center focus wheel is easy to reach and very smooth enabling you to achieve perfect focus quickly and effortlessly.
I don't wear glasses, but for those of you that do, the twist eye cups are easy to adjust and provide excellent eye relief.
Usually, with less expensive optics, you begin to experience less desirable low light performance, but the light gathering capability of these binos was impressive.
All of this packed into only 22 ounces and you have the best cheap hunting binoculars on the market today.

Final Verdict
I was impressed with the these binoculars, given the price point and I believe that you will be too.
They offer good optical performance, delivering excellent image quality and low light performance at a very reasonable price.
My one issue with them is the polycarbonate body. While it is lightweight, it just not as durable as more expensive models made of aluminum and magnesium.
They will never compare to my Nikon Monarch 7, which are my go to hunting binoculars, but you could buy five of the Nature DX for the cost of one Monarch 7!
I think these are good quality binoculars that work well for birding, but hunting binoculars have to be durable and rugged.
There are a lot better options out there for hunting that are shockproof and can stand up to the daily abuse that hunters inflict on their optics.
