My name is Adam Duff I am 16 years old and live in Marlette, Michigan on a farm. I have been hunting for three years and this is the story of how I shot my first deer. On November 18, 2009 I was walking back to the house at about 5:20 PM when i saw a big buck. It went into our corn field and I walked up to where he entered. I saw him moving through the corn and took two quick shots with my doubled barrel 12 gauge using 2 1/2 inch buckshot. I walked in and saw him thrashing around so I shot once more and killed him. It was a 10 point with an 18 and 1/4 inch spread.

Nice buck
by: hatch270

Now that you have taken your first buck, especially a nice one, it is in your blood. It will occupy your mind all the time. It is great to see your success. Wait till you get your first moose, elk, mule deer, or antelope. None will ever compare to your first buck!! I am headed back to Colorado to hunt elk this fall. Nothing will compare to the first buck I shot. congratulations!!
